PANEL BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS

Baseframe:
The standard baseframe for panel buildings consist of two 100x50 or 150x50 RHS bearers (depending on building size) and 50x50 SHS floor joists at 480 CTS with perimeter channel all around ready to accept sandwich panels. All RHS is primed or Duragal® depending on use requirement.
Our unique design of the lifting system ensures that the building will structurally perform in 20 years time as well as a new building.
All steel structures comply with AS1163, AS1170.0 to AS1170.2 and AS4100.
Walls and Roofs:
Walls and roofs are constructed of 50mm, 75mm or 100mm Colorbond® Sandwich Panels. The thickness of the panel depends on insulation and spanning requirements.
A sandwich panel is fabricated with a bottom and top skins of 0.6mm Colorbond® steel (plain or profiled as required). The full thickness core can be chosen between expanded polystyrene (EPS), rigid polyurethane (PIR) or mineral wool. The sandwich panel construction provides wide spanning strength.
Flooring:
The floor structure consist of 15mm, 17mm or 19mm T&G moisture resistant ply flooring, glued and mechanically fixed to the baseframe. Flooring thickness depends on loading requirements.
Floor coverings may be chosen from seam welded vinyl bonded to ply (standard or slip resistant for wet areas) or carpet (choice of colours from our standard range).
External Doors:
We manufacture external doors using 50mm Colorbond® sandwich panels and aluminium trims fitted with keyed entry locks. Doors may include laminated fixed glass panes for customised buildings.
Internal Doors
Internal Doors can be selected from fabricated Colorbond® Sandwich Panel doors (standard) or hollow core timber stained doors.
Windows:
Unless otherwise specified by the customer the window supplied with all buildings are powder coated aluminium framed sliding windows with removable fiberglass flywire screens for easy cleaning.
Finish:
Pre painted steel panels offer maintenance free, attractive finish. Standard colours are Surfmist® (off-white) and Paperback® (beige). Other Colorbond® colours may be organised on request.
Electrical Wiring:
All units are wired to conform to AS3000.
Concealed wiring is used throughout.
All switchboards incorporate circuit breakers and a main RCD switch.
Plumbing (when required):
All plumbing connections are concealed under the floor. Internal exposed pipes are chrome plated.
Water pipes are copper, joined together by welded capillary fittings and fixed to underside of floor with copper saddle clips for rigid support.
All plumbing ancillaries (Washbasins, shower enclosures, cabinets, etc.) are maintenance free under normal use.
